The volume of Kazakh crude oil transited through Azerbaijan has reached 3 million tons.
The tanker Aktau, carrying the 3 millionth ton, departed from the port of Aktau on May 12 and arrived at the Azertrans Sangachal Terminal on May 13.
The first shipment of oil from the Tengiz field was delivered to Baku on March 23, 2023, while the first batch from the Kashagan field arrived on January 27, 2025.
Kazakh oil is subsequently transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline to the port of Ceyhan, from where it is delivered to global markets.
