Effective 8 June 2026, SOCAR Midstream Operations (SMO) assumed the role of Operator of the Western Route Export Pipeline (WREP), which connects the Sangachal Terminal on the Caspian Sea coast with the Supsa Terminal on the Black Sea coast.
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) granted SMO the exclusive right to operate the Georgian section of WREP for a period of 20 years.
SMO operates all WREP facilities in Azerbaijan and Georgia, including the Supsa Terminal.
WREP has a total length of 829 km: 456 km in Azerbaijan and 373 km in Georgia.
