
On April 15, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between SOCAR and its partners in the South Caucasus Pipeline Company, and Mingachevir State University. The memorandum was inked by Fuad M. Ahmadov, Executive Director of SOCAR Midstream and Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Mingachevir State University.
Fuad Ahmadov, providing information about SOCAR Midstream’s social projects in the field of education, noted that eight textbooks in economics, biology, and chemistry have been translated into Azerbaijani. He also spoke about the cooperation with Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) regarding the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) “Data, Economics, and Development Policy” and “MicroMasters” programs, as well as the organization of IELTS preparation courses for 372 master’s level students enrolled in the SABAH groups across seven universities. It was emphasized that the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Mingachevir State University will support the sustainable development of Azerbaijan and the wider region by contributing to the transformation of oil capital into human capital.
Speaking about Mingachevir State University’s educational priorities, Shahin Bayramov noted that cooperation with SOCAR Midstream will make a significant contribution to the development of education and to the training of highly qualified specialists who meet modern industry requirements.
The memorandum outlines cooperation between Mingachevir State University and SOCAR Midstream in the field of modern educational programs, strengthening the existing capacity, and steps to be taken to train highly qualified personnel.
