Namig Amiraslanov was born in Baku in 1981.
In 2002, he received a Bachelor’s degree in General Economics and Economic Cybernetics from Baku State University. In 2004, he graduated with distinction from the same university with a Master’s degree in the same field. He continued his education abroad, earning a Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University in the United States in 2012, followed by MBA from the University of Chicago in 2022.
Mr. Amiraslanov began his professional career in 2002 as an Economist in the Economic Research Division of the Monetary Policy Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Over the years, he held various positions within the institution, including Lead Economist, Senior Analyst, and Head of Division.
In 2013, he joined SOCAR’s Investment Department as an Economist in the Investment Reporting Division. He subsequently served as Head of the International Projects Analysis and Preliminary Evaluation Division and later as Head of the Investment Department. From 2017 to 2024, he served as Executive Director of SOCAR Gas Operating Company LLC.
On 30 July 2024, Mr. Amiraslanov was appointed Executive Director of SOCAR’s Integrated Planning, Optimization and Logistics (IPOL) Segment. Since 1 April 2025, he has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC.
