On the 18th September 2017 specialists from SOCAR Midstream Operations Management, HSE and Technical team visited Sangachal Terminal to assess the progress of Shah Deniz 2 Expansion Project. During the visit, BP's Shah Deniz 2 Project representatives provided a presentation covering the project scope and progress of the project. After the presentation, specialists from SOCAR Midstream Operations toured the Sangachal Terminal South
Caucasus Pipeline Expansion Project to assess progress confirming that construction and installation works for the expansion of the Sangachal Terminal is at 99,8% with high level of development. With the exception of Condensate, MEG and Produced Water Tanks all major and auxiliary systems have been handed over from construction to commissioning. Completion of the Shah Deniz 2 project for the transmission of the First Gas to the TANAP Pipeline is scheduled for 30 June 2018 and is on track to meet this date.
