SOCAR Midstream Operations (SMO) goal is to be a renowned and trusted leader in pipeline operations through the commitment and value we place on safety, the well-being of our employees and our respect for the environment. The leadership we have in place has created a culture that encourages our employees to make the right choices. SMO leadership sets clear expectations, observes, coaches and ultimately holds employees and contractors accountable for HSE performance. It is expected that line managers communicate, implement, and ensure compliance with HSE policies and standards.

Manage our business with employee commitment and management leadership in health, safety and environmental protection. We will also work to influence and support our partners and contractors in this regard.
Comply with all HSSE legislation, regulations and company requirements
Maintain a commitment to continually improve environmental performance by preventing incidents and pollution and by using energy efficiently

Display openness in decisions which impact safe and environmentally responsible operations and maintain safety as a first priority
Consult, listen and respond openly to our partners, our employees, our neighbors, and other stakeholders
Work with our contractors, suppliers, competitors and regulators to improve the standards of our industry
Show equal regard for contractor employee safety whose performance will be measured as one workforce
Utilize an effective HSSE management system to set and review HSSE objectives and targets to continually improve our performance
Recognize those who contribute to improved HSSE performance
Ensure all our workforce is trained to perform their duties in a safe manner
Establish and maintain controls, including periodic reviews, to ensure that our HSSE policy and management system are correctly implemented and improved.
